CompWest is committed to preventing and detecting fraud through our experienced workers’ comp claims team and Investigative Services Unit (ISU). Staffed by experts in the field with years of experience, our approach allows us to detect potential fraud accurately and effectively.
We’re dedicated to protecting you and your business, and we don’t leave anything to chance. Our teams consist of former law enforcement officials specializing in early detection, identification and investigation of potential workers’ compensation insurance fraud. Working alongside them are examiners certified by the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB), who are trained to detect potential fraud early in the claims reporting process in an effort to prevent unnecessary expenses.
While workers’ compensation fraud occurs in a relatively small amount of cases, the costs can have serious financial consequences for business when it does occur. We are committed to prosecuting suspected fraud in partnership with NICB, the California Department of Insurance, Fraud Division and the prosecutorial agency having jurisdictional authority.
